Connect with your local Catholic student community by finding a Catholic society where you are. Follow the link below for more information.
It is if you go it alone! The Christian faith was never meant to be lived alone, as Jesus tells his first followers, ‘I have called you friends’ (John 15:15). We need friends to support us in living our Catholic faith, especially at university where it can be very counter-cultural to live this way. That is why the first part of our mission is to connect students to other students so that they can build strong, faith-filled friendships.
‘For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.’ (Matthew 18:20)
Firstly, we would say to give thanks for the friends that you do have in your Catholic student community - it’s not all about numbers. Then, we would recommend starting to pray for the future of your community - all good things start with prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to come and guide your hopes and plans for the future.
And get in touch with us! We exist to help you grow your Catholic student community and help it become a welcoming and spiritually fruitful community. We would love to hear from you and to help in any way that we can.
If there is no Catholic Society at your university it is still highly likely that you have a Catholic Chaplain and a chaplaincy. We would recommend that you connect with them as they will both be able to offer you spiritual support and might know other Catholic students at your university.
But why not set one up? Setting up a Catholic society with your friends is usually not a difficult process and is typically done through your university’s Student Union. If you want help in setting up your Catholic Society, we would be happy to help!
If you do set up a Catholic Society, let us know so that we can share it with our followers so that more Catholic students can find you.
That’s great! If you want to get involved in our mission, we would love to hear from you directly so feel free to contact us.
We would also love to meet you in person through our events, either our Catholic Student Leadership Summit or our Catholic Student Conference.
If you want a committed way to get involved, you can become a member. Members receive our monthly email newsletter, are the first to have access to tickets for our events and have regular access to great new content.
